Introduction
SubtleShot was designed to allow people to use their phone's camera without showing so on their screens. While there isn't really a primary use case for the app, it does allow for users to sneak in some photos/videos when the situation would seem too awkward to do so. I got the idea from browsing through Reddit's App Ideas Subreddit. I looked up current "Spy Cameras" that were available on the App Store and I found that a lot of features could be improved. For one, a lot of the apps simply didn't show the camera preview; you'd need to take the photo blindly, hoping that you just happened to be aiming the camera properly. The other problem I found was that a lot of the other apps' interfaces were either outdated or simply not fluid enough. These apps required too much setup; I felt that this was counter intuitive.
10/03/17 UPDATE:SubtleShot has been rejected from the App Store due to privacy concerns. Despite the fact that there are several other apps on the App Store that do literally the same thing, I will likely not bother pursuing this project any further. The main point of this project was for me to gain some experience integrating the iPhone's Camera and Camera Roll, and I believe that I've learned what I needed.
